Extended Story Telling!

Would you like to learn how to perform 30, 45 or 60 minute improvised plays? If yes, then we'll teach you! The ability to remember the smallest details and "wrap everything up" are essential skills to be able to do this.  Knowing where you fit into a 9 person Harold team puts you ahead of the game.  Learn how to, "over accept" the twists and turns of "long form" improv so that they look planned.  Learn the power of "just enough" when performing, and learn how to make openings, middles, and endings dynamic and a thrill to watch.  Areas of focus:

Status - How to give it and how to take it and run with it.
Characters - How to play the main character, the main villian, or the villagers with torches.
Theme - What the heck is your show about?  
Objective - What must your character have or else?
Setting - Use your voice and body to establish "where's" and change perspectives.

When:  Saturday, March 13, 2010.  10am-5pm.

Where:  "The Space" 13324 11th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 

Max. Number of students:  12 (some improv experience preferred but not required).

C.R.O.W.!

So your name is Phil, you know that your scene partner is your grandma, you want to give her the muffins you baked her, and you are at the top of the Eiffel Tower.  You"C.R.O.W.'d" at the beginning of the scene and yet it sucks!  Why isn't it working?  You will learn how to apply Character, Relationship, Objective, and Where to help your scenes get going in the right direction.  You will learn how to notice the C.R.O.W. that instantly pops up at the beginning of each scene.   And how to establish it without saying a single word!       

When:  Saturday, April 3rd, 2010. 10am-5pm.

Brandon and Michael of Blood Squad Teach You Improv! 

You will learn how to integrate your individual talents into group scene work. Learn how to play the protagonist, the antagonist, support characters, scenic background (amazing leafy trees) and much more! This is a great opportunity to challenge the limits of your improv acting skills under the watchful eyes of two experienced performers.  Become a performer who is always willing to "go there".
